Eco-life fair exhibition booth 2010 "Blessings of Wetlands"

It is our 5th year to take part in this event. This booth aimed to raise awareness about the Ramsar Convention and wetland functions. It was organized jointly by the Ramsar Centre Japan and the Japanese Ministry of Environment.

Creation of a Wetland Centre at the Sebezhsky National Park as a platform for management and public awareness activities

The project is aimed to increase awareness (locally and regionally) of the ecological and socio-economic functions and values of wetlands, their conservation needs and sustainable management options, through the establishment of a wetland center at the Sebezhsky National Park and the creation and publication of educational and awareness materials.

Integrated water resources management and conservation in the Mujib Reserve

Wetlands International and the Royal Society for Conservation of Nature (RSCN) work in Jordan study the impact of the dam upstream on the ecosystems of the Mujib reserve, involve local population in agricultural demonstration activities to save water and preserve water quality, and represent the Mujib reserve interests (ecosystem water needs) in water management planning and decision-making processes.

Integrated Water resources Management in Ichkeul basin taking into account the conservation of Ichkeul ecosystem

Wetlands International works in Tunisia with local partner INAT, the Institut National Agronomique. Through a local multi-stakeholder water dialogue, the project builds a consensus on best water allocations for sustainable water resources management for the long-term taking into account all water uses, including ecosystem needs.

Capacity building of civil society and water administration of Sebou river basin in Morocco to assess and monitor the ecological status of Sebou river basin

Wetlands International works with its partner World Wildlife Fund's Mediterranean Programme (WWFMedPro) in Morocco and the Sebou River Basin Authority to define, test and validate - in a participatory manner - a monitoring & evaluation system of Sebou surface water ecological status.
